Cavett Award Winners

The Cavett Award, the National Speakers Association's most esteemed accolade, is presented annually to a member whose accomplishments exemplify exceptional credibility, respect, honor, and admiration in both NSA and the speaking profession. The recipient's dedication to sharing, guiding, and inspiring other members closely parallels the distinguished career of NSA's founder, Cavett Robert, CSP, CPAE.

NSA Kentucky members Stephen Tweed and Phil VanHooser were honored with this prestigious award in 2012 and 2019 respectively.

Council of Peers Award for Excellence (CPAE)

The Council of Peers Award for Excellence (CPAE), also known as the Speaker Hall of Fame, is a national award recognizing exceptional platform excellence. Selections are based on nominations made by current CPAEs and are limited to a maximum of five each year nationwide.

Phil Van Hooser was honored with this award in 2019.

Certified Speaking Professionals

The Certified Speaking Professional (CSP) designation is the highest earned accolade of professional achievement in the speaking profession. NSA awards the CSP to individuals who have undergone a comprehensive application process and have met the organization's rigorous criteria. The designation recognizes a commitment to ongoing education, extensive speaking experience, and ethical conduct.

The following NSA Michigan members have earned the coveted CSP designation: Vivian Blade, Trevor Blondeel, Elizabeth Jeffries, Justin Patton, Cara Silletto, Stephen Tweed, Alyson Van Hooser, and Phil Van Hooser
